Warning: ER photos

For some reason, we didn't get a room. Just the hallway. We did get the x-ray room all to ourselves though. :-)
They numbed her all up because they were planning on injecting saline behind her knee cap and have it come out the wound to irrigate it. Yuck.
More injections.
They decided not to irrigate from behind the knee cap because the x-rays didn't show any damage to the joint itself. So, they just squished 1 liter of saline topically to wash it out.

This is the only photo I have of the open wound. I should have got a close up. You could see bone. On the other hand. Maybe that would have grossed some people out.
I closely watched them put in 6 stitches, while Brian waited across the room, a little queasy. Poor guy.
All better and ready to go home. She was totally wired from all of the adrenaline and requested french fries and a smoothie.
Stitches out in 12 days.
