Bat Boys

Both of my boys had the chance to be bat boys for the Orem Owlz last night. They had such a good time! It sounds like the players even behaved themselves and didn't say many bad words. I guess the exception is the guy that got popped in the mouth with a ball and had to leave the field. He was bleeding, and irate that they wouldn't let him play anymore. According to Dallan, he had a few choice words to say about that.
Tanner thought it was all good though, and gave us the thumbs up. He is SO TINY compared to all those grown men out there. We had a good visual lesson on why they wear helmets. One of our batters got nailed right in the noggin by their pitcher. Crack! Sure glad that helmet was there.
Dallan looked so .... respectful.... as he got to stand out with the opposing team during the National Anthem. Cool huh!
Luckily, they each got equal service time with the home team. I was a little worried about that because they both wanted to be with the Owlz (duh!). The other team was the Helena Brewers.
It was fun to watch the boys. Their helmets were way too big so while they were running they king of looked like bobble heads. In a good way of course.
Until next season.......
Oh, by the way, we won.
